Extractions Teeth may need to be extracted for a number of reasons, including unusually long roots, decay and more. To extract a tooth, your dentist must expand the socket encasing it and detach the ligament holding it in place. Once teeth have been removed, your dentist may recommend a bridge or implant to help with chewing and jaw function.
Snoring Prevention Snoring is caused by relaxed muscles and tissues in the mouth that make your air passage smaller. Air travelling through the passage vibrates this tissue and makes the sound you hear. Factors that may increase the severity of snoring including:
  • Excess body weight
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Sleep aids or sedatives
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnoea
We offer mandibular advancement devices (MAD) that eliminate snoring by keeping your jaw or tongue in a position that facilitates better airflow. Painless Injections Gone are the days of dreading a visit to the dentist! Many people feel anxious about going to the dentist, and this anxiety is often associated with the use of a needle to deliver local anaesthetic. However, the White and Bright team are driven to achieve the best level of customer service. Because of this tightly held value, we are pleased to announce a new device that allows for a painless injection. Introducing: The Wand! We now offer The Wand, a Single Tooth Anaesthesia (STA) System Unit, that delivers a computerised flow of anaesthetic and eliminates the use of a syringe-based injection. The aesthetic is the same, but it is placed around the tooth in a very slow and measured rate, resulting in a comfortable experience for the patient.
Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth are molars found at the back of your mouth, usually appearing in your late teens or early twenties. It is common for wisdom teeth to become impacted, causing tenderness, swelling or severe pain. When you need wisdom teeth removed, we will begin with x-rays, so we can see your tooth’s location and orientation. We then apply a local anaesthetic to numb the area, and if necessary, use additional medication to safely sedate you.
Filling We offer dental restoratives and fillings made of different materials, including gold, porcelain and composite. Fillings are available in a wide variety of appearances, some nearly invisible. The type of filling you should get depends on several factors, including:
  • The amount of tooth remaining
  • Tooth structure
  • The chewing load the tooth bears
Anxious Patient Dental Treatment Many patients feel anxiety when visiting the dentist because of past experiences or phobias. Our staff will make your visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible, catering to any of your special needs. We offer different forms of medication and anaesthetic to make your treatment pain-free and pleasant, including oral sedation and happy gas. Our dentists will discuss anaesthetic options with you, and ensure you get one that suits your requirements.
