Crowns & bridges

Crowns and bridges are a permanent solution for missing or damaged teeth. A crown is placed over an existing tooth and can be coloured to match your other teeth. Bridges are used to restore multiple teeth with one product.

Implants restore a tooth’s functionality and are perfect if you’ve suffered from tooth loss or injury. Implants consist of a titanium post inserted into the jawbone capped with a crown or permanent denture.

Root canals

A root canal is necessary when nerves in your tooth become infected. The procedure involves removing the infected tissue, cleaning the interior of the tooth and filling the tooth with dental composite. This can take 1-3 visits.

Gum disease, or periodontal disease, is an infection of the gums. It is a leading cause of tooth loss in adults. Many patients are not aware they have the disease because it is virtually pain-free. Our staff will check for signs of the disease during your check up and take the proper measures to treat it.

How is gum disease treated?

Treatments vary depending on the severity of gum disease. Your dentist may offer any of the following treatments, depending on your situation:
  • Home periodontal trays, scaling and root planning
  • Periodontal surgery
  • Laser gum surgery
  • Dental implants

White and Bright Family Dental advises that any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding with a surgical or invasive procedure, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
